village is situated 6 miles North of Shrewsbury on the A49
heading for Whitchurch. There were about 300 houses and some
700 inhabitants. However recent building has swelled
the number of houses by about 70. We have a church, a
pub, a school and a shop in the heart of the village.
There are a few businesses in the locality but farming
remains an important activity.
There is a community-run
village hall which celebrated its centenary in 2010. It is
well used for local groups and other hires.
There are a number of interest
groups in the village. We would welcome some content for web
pages from them. Local
to contribute should send their text/pictures to email@example.com.
This can be in any format
- it will be turned into web pages on their behalf. E-mail
addresses are available for the groups too. Contact
webmaster for details.
There is a bi-monthly magazine produced and
distributed by villagers. This holds a wealth of
local information and news about events in Hadnall and the
nearby village of Astley. Material for the
magazine can be e-mailed to the Editor
(firstname.lastname@example.org) or posted through the Village
