A few steam trains pass through Hadnall
during the year and a small group of interested villagers gather
to watch the trains go by. This is the page to
gather the information for those interested and to record a
few pictures from sightings.

posing as 34052 "Lord Dowding" passes through Hadnall in the
morning (and returning in the evening) on a trip from Crewe to
Cardiff. This time the banker was D1944.

Not in Hadnall but on the line to Wellington near Allscott, we
waited in the murk for GWR No 5043 Earl of Mount Edgecombe on a
circular trip to Ludlow from Birmingham called the "The Welsh
Marches". She "roared" past doing around 60mph - fabulous

45699 Galatea passed through Hadnall with the West Coast Railway's
Welsh Border train. It was a bright sunny afternoon so
viweing from the west gave great lighting and the wind blew
the smoke away from cameras too.
